July 24 Allison  – ” Wonderful Tuscan villa

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The setting is ideal – very private but close to great restaurants and Lucca, and easy day trips to Florence and Pisa. The pool was lovely to come home to after a long day of sight seeing. The layout of the home is ideal, with the primary suite on the first floor and the additional living space separate on the top two floors, giving everybody lots of room

Sep 23 Shane O  – “An incredible place to stay

Wonderful cozy house, just as displayed in the pictures. Great location that is both private for chill time (very spacious and relaxing yard, fantastic pool) and proximate to Lucca, wine tasting and other site seeing. Leandro kept in touch before, during, and just before leaving to make sure we had everything we needed and was super helpful. Highly recommended!

Jun 23 Christian W  – “Location Location

We stayed for one week and had a great time, easy access and great views…. home away from home… dinner in Luca and close to all the little towns in the region….great place to spend a week…. Highly recommended…..

Sep 22 Norma  – “Spectacular hill top views!

The Our stay at Collina Verde was most relaxing and comfortable. The daytime and nighttime views were absolutely breathtaking and enjoyed by everyone, they are etched in our minds forever. We had a fantastic stay and created great memories. Thank you Leandro.

Aug 22 Dhiren  – “Fantastic!

The property had all the amenities that we required and the location was great to venture out to Pisa, Lucca and the other places in the hills. The property is very private, views are great and just right for the the family to relax. One to return to over the coming years as there is plenty left to explore.

Aug 22 Alain  – “A Priviliged Place!

Even in the middle of August, there is therefore a quiet place overlooking the activity of beautiful Lucca. Slightly withdrawn, the house is accessible by a small road, then a path. The house has charm, enhanced by its outdoor environment, its panoramic view, its swimming pool

July 21 Stuart.B  – “Fabulous holiday – amazing property!

Fantastic holiday for two families. House is perfectly set out so that each family has their own space. The pool and garden area is a great place to relax after visits to Lucca, Pisa and the beaches. The owner Leandro was always on hand to give recommendations for restaurants, places to see and arranged for a chef to come in for a couple of evenings. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will be returning next summer ! Thank you Leandro

Sept 19 Sonja.V  – “Sonja with family and adult kids/Switzerland

What can I say, this house was fantastic. The trip was excellent from start to finish. The owner was very accommodating and provided excellent recommendations on good restaurants in the area. I genuinely felt I was experiencing the local life. Beside going out for dinner we also stayed at the house, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a BBQ to grill your own food. The location was ideal, offering us the Tuscan tranquil life. Philip did a great job showing up around the house whilst keeping the place comfortable for our stay. I would absolutely recommend this house, if you are looking for a great experience in Tuscan hills.

August 19 Analiesse  – “Fabulous place in the Tuscan hills

This really was a beautiful place to holiday. Everything in the villa, from the decor to the amenities was fantastic. The children loved the pool and we all loved the surroundings. The owners could not have made us feel more welcome and were on hand to answer any questions. I can’t recommend a stay here enough.

August 19 Benji W  – “Wonderful retreat in the Tuscan hills

Easy access to Lucca for day trips but we spent most of the time by the pool. House very well appointed in a fantastic situation up in the hills. Owners were incredibly helpful with great comms from booking onwards. We spent two weeks here and loved every minute.

July 19 Stephanie W  – “Excellent holiday

Had a fantastic week in a lovely property. It is in an idyllic location with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and hills. There was plenty of space for two families of four to have fun and relax. The gardens and location were so good that we only ventured into Lucca twice. The pool was in constant use. The property manager was very helpful and responsive to resolve a couple of minor questions. Local restaurant Duomo was superb and I would recommend booking for at least one meal there. Overall an excellent villa – we have stayed in many over the years and this was certainly the best!

June 19 Peter G  – “Not to be missed

We had a fabulous 2 weeks at the property. Exactly what we were looking for – from the location, pool, property and dealings with the owner and the property manager. Highly recommend it!

June 19 – Christina  – “Perfect Tuscan villa just outside of Lucca”

My family, friends and I had the most fantastic three week stay at Casa Collina Verde. I was so lucky to have come across this listing when doing research for the perfect place to stay for my sabbatical. Leandro (the owner) and Philip (the property manager) went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a dream. The villa is stunning. It is very large and comfortably housed 10 people. It is very clean and incredibly well-equipped – anything you need is there and if it is not they will get it for you. The highlight was the outdoor space. We loved hanging by the pool and enjoying all meals al fresco. Furthermore we loved the proximity to Lucca (15 minutes) and to all things Tuscany. We often took a taxi arranged by Philip into Lucca for a long relaxing dinner. Being in the heart of Tuscany we were able to explore 2 different wineries (arranged by Philip), go to Forte del Marmi, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Cinque Terre, and the list goes on. You do need a rental car if you plan on exploring. Our favorite experience at the villa was having a chef (Emilio) come by for a private meal. We loved this so much we hired him 4 times! Philip also helped arrange that. All in all – a lovely stay and I am very appreciative to Leandro and Philip. I hope to come back some day.

May 19 – Sheila B  – “Amazing Villa in the Tuscan countryside”

Prior to booking we sifted through at least 120+ Tuscany properties on TripAdvisor until we found one that met every single one of our needs: Exclusive use of full villa for 5 (or more) guests, Amazing views of Tuscan countryside from all rooms, Swimming pool, great outdoor space plus fully equipped kitchen. This villa delivered on all fronts and then some. The owner and property manager are very helpful with ensuring your stay is comfortable and providing lots of useful information. GPS for car pre-programmed with points of interest/food/etc is a nice touch. Location is great, amenities short drive away, and close to town of Marlia & Lucca. Kids loved playing with the Xbox. They also have a laptop (and wi-fi) at your disposal. All rooms are very tastefully decorated. Several Dyson fans help with (additional) heating/cooling if required. Lower level has it’s own self contained unit with separate entrance, full bath, kitchen, living & bedroom, and can make for great privacy if sharing the villa with another family. Mid-stay housekeeping/change of linens/towels (depending on length of stay) also included. Highly recommended.

Sep18 – Jones  – “Beautiful villa in beautiful Tuscany”

Travelled with family who have been going there for three years! This was our first time. All I can say is WOW!! The villa is so well equipped with everything. House is amazing with traditional decor. Gardens and pool area perfect.
You think you are in the middle of nowhere but 10 mins away is beautiful lucca, 5 mins from large supermarket. Train station also 10 mins away so you can discover the region of Tuscany. Pisa and Florence are a must.
The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The views are somewhat to be believed, every morning waking up and saying wow!!
Can’t rate this villa enough, could go on but if you are looking for a Tuscan villa holiday don’t hesitate to book here.
Actually didn’t want to leave!!
Thank you to the owners for our stay, you’ve got this place perfect for people staying there with everything at hand.
Looking forward to returning very soon.
The Jones family.

Sep18 Louise B  – “Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing

The views from the villa are stunning. It is clean, well-run and the pool and gardens are perfect to relax in. We had a lovely week. There are lots of thoughtful touches and properly laundered sheets and towels.

Aug 18 – Chris R  – “Amazing Villa located in a lovely part of Tuscany”

Our family stayed at this amazing property in July 2018. Entire villa was spotless. Gardens are immaculate, the views terrific of the surrounding Lucca countryside. It was our second stay in as many years. The newly converted ground floor accommodation space was fantastic, and very nicely decorated, keeping with the authentic Italian theme.
I’d highly recommend. We’ll be back – i’m sure!

June18 Sarah E  – “Perfect Italian Getaway!

We have just returned from this beautiful place and I am missing it already. Nestled up in the Tuscan hillside overlooking Lucca, this is the perfect Italian escape. The surrounding countryside is a rolling mix of olive groves, vineyards and cypresses and there are shops and restaurants within easy reach in the surrounding villages of Marlia and Viagianno. The house itself is spacious and beautifully decorated sympathetic to the local style and has all the amenities you could wish for, and the landscaped gardens are amazing. We spent many hours in the large pool, which was a huge hit with the kids, with enough room for the adults to laze on a lilo while they splash around. Close to the pool is a beautiful gazebo with climbing vines, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of the delicious local wine or a cool peroni. There are also lots of little nooks to sit and read or take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding pretty villages dotted around the hillside. It is also a fantastic base to visit the beautiful Pisa, breathtaking Florence and is literally just up the road from lively and bustling Lucca, which is an absolute gem. It is also a short drive from the sea. We really fell in love with Casa Collina Verde. Absolutely perfecto!

Sep 17 John O  – “Torneremo Presto !! Bella Lucca

We could not have been happier. It was more beautiful than the pictures on the website. Casa Collina Verde was perfectly located in the hills above Luca with stunning views and surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The villa was extremely clean and the grounds well cared for. The pool was almost brand new. The property manager was helpful courteous and went far and beyond our expectations. He organized a private chef to cook for us amongst several other favours. We have travelled extensively all over the world and this was one of our best trips. We will be back. John and Michelle.

Aug 17 Michael T  – “Perfect place to explore Tuscany or simply relax !

We have just enjoyed another wonderful week at this thoughtfully furnished holiday villa located on the Tuscan hills overlooking the spectacular Roman walled city, Lucca. This is our 3rd return to Casa Collina Verde and each time feels like the first.

This is the perfect place to escape for a few days and we have not yet been disappointed. The villa is so comfortable and the setting amongst olive groves cannot be surpassed. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home .

This area of Tuscany is rich in culture and fascinating places to visit. However for a relaxing break you don’t really need to leave the villa – we spent most of our time in the warm summer sun relaxing around the large outdoor pool where the owners have recently added a pagoda folly providing a great place to read or snooze in the shade with a nice glass of chilled local wine.

We will certainly return to Casa Collina Verde again – next time we might even try ‘out of season’ when the pool is not so much of a draw as there is so much we have yet to explore in the area.

July 17 Jackie E  – “Best home stay in Italy!

Really lovely rental. We visit Italy a lot as we have family there. In our experience, this was the best house we have rented. It was lovely. Grounds beautiful, setting beautiful, house had all we needed. The village on the hill above the house is a lovely (but hard!) walk. The kitchen is great and the owners did lots of little things to make us feel welcome and to make the trip easy (tomtom, computer and printer, some phone credits (which we did not use), etc. Lovely pool. Lemon, Fig, Olive trees. Really lovely.

May 17 Sybil.T  – “Perfection

After a steady gentle climb into the hills above Lucca we were stunned by the beauty that is Casa Collina Verde. Its position and homely charm gave way to a substantial holiday residence with everything we could have wished for, and more.

As a party of four friends we loved the space inside and out with plenty of room for privacy. A morning dip in the swimming pool set us up for breakfasting on the terrace, which even in May was a very warm and sunny spot. We spent most evenings at home cooking food bought at the local Supermarket 5 minutes away and cooked in the well equipped kitchen.

The birds in the day and lovely fireflies in the evenings entertained us as we sat on the terrace eating our meals. We found driving into the hills and down to Lucca quite easy with the use of a satnav provided by the owner and internet access was good. Eating out was also easy and we highly recommend Tuscan food and wine from the local vineyards. Truly a beautiful and memorable holiday.

Oct 16 Ann.P  – “Magical Villa in Tuscan Hillside.”

We stayed for five days at this very beautiful villa north of Lucca. The property is immaculate, very well equipped and comfortably furnished and sits in a gorgeous hillside location nestled between olive groves. The bedrooms are spacious, especially suited to a family experience and all have lovely views down the valley and beyond.

However, the star of the property is the fabulous garden with terraces for entertaining, ultimately leading down to the pool and leisure garden, making the most of the view down the valley – great for sundowners as we watched the sun disappear behind the hills We were only a few minutes away from local restaurants in the hillside and nearby town and ten minutes from the wider choice of restaurants and shops in Lucca.

The local supermarket is incredibly well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables and has everything you could want, including a good selection of affordable wines plus some quality wines at English prices! Leandro, the owner, has been a pleasure to deal with and the manager, who looks after the property, was especially helpful when we needed assistance.

Aug 16 Sarah.R  – “Stunning villa, ground and views..”

We have just spent 2 weeks at Casa Collina Verde. The villa and grounds were simply stunning and it is of an incredible standard. The photos on the website do not do it justice. The villa is a home from home, with everything you could possibly need. There are lots of little special touches from a pre-programmed sat nav (which was invaluable to us), laptop, Wi-Fi throughout the villa and grounds, and a welcome folder detailing lots of useful information about the villa and the surrounding area.

Our 3 boys loved the large pool and grounds, and this is where we spent most of our time relaxing. The owners are very responsive to any questions you have by email, and the instructions to locate the villa from the airport, were extremely detailed and helpful. On arrival, we received a welcome pack, which was gratefully received, especially as we arrived very late at night, as it set us up for the morning.

The villa is located high up in the hillside, so views from the grounds and every window in the villa are breathtaking. During our stay, the property manager, was extremely helpful in answering any further questions we had, and maintaining the villa to a high standard. The villa is situated perfectly, and during our stay we visited Lucca, Viareggio and Pisa. We hired a big estate car which made the first few trips up and down the last section of road to the villa a little daunting, however, we quickly became familiar with the stretch of road and subsequently made many trips, day and night without any concerns at all.

The villa exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend this villa, and we look forward to returning to the villa again.

Aug 16 Paul.N  – “Beautiful and top quality villa on Tuscan hillside.”

This villa is not only in a beautiful and tranquil location but it has everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. The property is decorated and fitted out to a high standard and the grounds are very well maintained. Obviously the large pool is a key feature but there is also a table tennis table, wifi throughout the villa & grounds, bluetooth music system and UK TV channels.(although we didn’t sit indoors watching TV!).
Whilst the property is in a rural location it is near to a town with a large supermarket, pizzerias and restaurants, and only a short drive from the city of Lucca. We are already planning our next visit!

June 16 Dawn.C  – “Little corner of Tuscan heaven.”

This villa tucked into the vines and olive groves is perfect for a family holiday. The hosts have thought of everything right down to every type of coffee maker imaginable, a great barbeque, plenty of toys for the pool and satnav pre-programmed with key local addresses. The location of the house means you are just the right distance from Lucca to feel that you are off the tourist track but close enough to make the most of this lovely town. Plenty of authentic places to eat locally too – we highly recommend Giomo in the centre of the village. Should you want to eat in, the kitchen/ dining room is equipped with everything you need to rustle up a Tuscan feast.

The owner, land manager and the cleaners were all wonderful – couldn’t ask for more. It’s a short drive to Lucca which is beautiful. Supermarket is just down the road (drive) and eating and drinking out in Tuscany is so cheap compared to here. I would certainly recommend this place.

Oct 15 Verified Reviewer  – “Stunning location, amenities, views and care.”

We rented this villa to support our guests coming and going over a two week period. It fulfilled everything we hoped for and more. Was easy to find with the directions given, the house was remote, as we hoped, with stunning views. The pool was perfect, and cleaned often, the outdoor space was great with bbq area and washing line. The house had everything you could hope for and more, fully equipped with everything.

Sept 15 Linda.W  – “Wonderful villa in excellent location.”

This villa is wonderful and exceeded our expectations both in the views it gave over Lucca and the surrounding hills and in the grandeur of the grounds and furnishings within the villa. The sat nav in the villa with pre-programmed destinations, the laptop and printer in the study and the 2 shady hammocks in the garden are just a few examples of the thoughtfulness and attention to detail which has gone in to this accommodation. We could find nothing which could be improved. All of our emails to Leandro, the owner, received prompt responses and his written directions to the villa from the airport were so good that we didn’t get lost, even in the dark.

This villa is first class.

August 15 Verified Reviewer  – “Beautiful location, lots of space, want to live there!.”

We have just come back from the most amazing week at this villa. The photos do not do it justice – it is truly beautiful. Very quiet and away from everything but has everything we needed there. The pool with its salt water was used several times a day and the beds very comfy. We barbecued, ate outside and did the odd day trip to Lucca and Pisa. Our hosts were very accommodating and any questions were swiftly answered. We would highly recommend it that’s for sure! – and our children (aged 4 and 6) gave the holiday “infinity out of 10”!

July 15 Eric.N  – “Beautiful Enchanting Views..”

Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday, the views are spectacular amongst the vineyards and manicured olive groves, we found this place truly enchanting. Thank you also for the attention to detail given from the pre-programmed satellite navigation for the local restaurants and attractions to the welcome pack and bottle of local wine left on our arrival (which was appreciated after a long trip). We very much enjoyed Lucca which was only a short drive away and the Lucca Festival where we were able to get tickets to a Robbie Williams concert which was very exciting.

My partner was especially excited by the numerous fruit trees in the garden (oranges, lemons, grape vines, figs, apricots, peaches etc.) and we spent several nights on the terrace eating, drinking and marvelling at the landscape as well as cooling down in the pool (during the hot spell). This is obviously situated in a prominent wine growing area which we look forward to exploring next time. We were very both very sad to leave and look forward to booking again. Sehr Schoene & a Thumbs up!

June 15 Emma.B  – “Beautiful villa in the hills.”

We visited this villa for a family holiday in June. Driving up the hills to the villa we had the most beautiful views of nearby Lucca. Arriving at the villa we had a lovely welcome pack with bread, milk etc and some lovey local wines. There was a guest book telling you all about the local area and what there is to do, plus recommendations for local restaurants.

There were also walkie talkies (for walking in the hills) and a sat nav with your location in, we thought these were nice little touches. Inside we found the villa spacious & with good amenities (like a dishwasher)! There is Sky for people who want to watch TV, and and x box & boardgames. The bedrooms are lovely & all 3 have beautiful views of the surrounding area. My favourite place was the garden which has a patio area, a BBQ, tiered seating further down, a ping pong table & a good sized pool. We especially loved the hammocks later in the day. The garden has lots of fruit trees including, oranges, lemons, olives, plums, apricots to name a few. It was lovely to cook & use fresh ingredients from the garden. A lot of our time was spent chilling by the pool as it is so peaceful.

The villa is situated so that day trips are easily done to places like Pisa & Florence. Lucca is only a 10 minute driveway, the supermarket just 5. There are loads of gorgeous restaurants within easy reach too(in the guest book). I would definitely recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday. Also if you want to be close enough to explore the area, but your far enough away that you feel like your in your own little world.

April 15 Gill.C  – “Beautiful house – Fantastic location.”

This is a beautiful villa, furnished and finished to a very high standard and with all the comforts of home – and more! The views from the garden and patio are stunning and we spent many an evening sitting out watching the sun set over the distant mountains.
The owners were there when we arrived and were very helpful and keen that we enjoyed our stay. We ate at two of the nearest ‘osterias’ , their owners and staff made us very welcome and the food – wonderful authentic italian dishes at a very reasonable price.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Sept 14 Dan.A  – “A Fantastic Stay!.”

You can see the owners have given great care and attention to the presentation of this property, which made for a very enjoyable break in Tuscany. After booking, we were provided with detailed instructions on getting to the property from Pisa airport, these were invaluable given that we were without a European Sat-Nav for the initial part of our journey.

Upon arriving at the property, we were able to check ourselves in, again, following the excellent instructions passed to us by the owners – The property itself was immaculate, exactly as described, and made for an ideal location for a mixture of relaxation and sightseeing for our week in Italy. 3 large bedrooms, along with a large bathroom, and open plan downstairs space.

The owners have furnished the property to a very high standard, whilst keeping some mod-cons in place to make the stay more enjoyable. The large pool, and garden space allowed for relaxation whilst soaking in the views offered throughout the property. Lucca is an easy 15 minute drive away, Florence is a further hour on the train, with Siena (highly recommend a visit) about 2 hours away in the car. Obviously, Pisa is very accessible too. The owners were extremely accommodating in providing a Sat-Nav with pre-programmed location on how to get to the local amenities, along with some handy locations (parking etc) for Lucca. We found this to be very helpful for the duration of our trip. Can’t wait to return in 2015.

July 14 Shelly.K  – “Totally Amazing.”

Our holiday to Italy was made fantastic by being able to stay in this beautifully self contained traditional Italian home topped off with an untraditional home with Italian lets a lovely pool and beautiful gardens. The house is placed idyllically in the hills with picturesque views to every angle. Car hire is a must to appreciate the surrounding area as the house is set in the hills where you will need to make short car journeys to find beautiful towns and little traditional Italian restaurants.

The town of lucca is a short ten minute drive away and is a beautiful little city with everything to offer, beautifully preserved history, lovely shops, and a local supermarket if you wanted to stock up and eat in. Just an hours drive away you can visit Pisa, which is home to the famous ‘leaning tower of Pisa’ which is a sight not to be missed! I could go on and on all day about how much I loved Italy and can’t wait to return, but I’ll leave you to find out for yourself. Thank you so much Joy and Andy for letting us stay in your beautiful home. xx

July 14 Liam.P  – “Beautiful tranquil setting.”

We stayed at Casa Collina Verde for a week in mid June.

This place is surrouded by coutry hillside and offers stunning panoramic views from each bedroom. Lucca is only a short 10-15 minutes drive away and there are also quite a few local resturants that do great local food/wines.

The private pool is a very good size and the expanse of gardens offers a great array of fruits such as lemons, figs, oranges, plums and much more.

June 14 Denise.R – “A perfect place for both sightseeing and relaxation.”

We stayed in this lovely farmhouse for 10 days. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. It felt like home from home but with sunshine and stunning views. Our little boy also loved it here. There are some amazing local restaurants near by, serving traditional food. It’s worth exploring further up the hill as there are some restaurants and geocaches there. The house is about 10 minutes drive from Lucca. We often went into to town to eat, shop or cycle round the walls of the city. There are lots of fantastic places to visit near by. There is also a good bus/train service if you want to travel further afield. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely want to go back again as we were able to relax here but also have so many other places we want to visit.

June 14 Dawn.S  – “Perfect setting to chill and relax.”

The Farmhouse caters for everything, all you need home from home, but on holiday. The garden is relaxing and the views incredible. The pool is great and perfect for relaxing and big enough to work up some energy. In all a gorgeous setting, well designed and beautifully furnished.
